The Cross of Jesus Christ is probably the most common symbol or theme on Christian clothing. Designs come in many forms on Cross T Shirts, the simplest being a basic cross shape on a plain background. Celtic crosses seem popular, as does the distinctive Cross of the Knights Templar. Then there are Medieval and Renaissance forms of the cross and crosses formed from words. Modern designs are often quite simple and minimalistic.
Of course, none of these looks like the Roman instrument of execution on which Jesus was crucified. They are used symbolically. The Crucifix is a portrayal of Jesus Christ on the Cross. It is not correct to call an empty cross a crucifix.
This is the emblem of the Knights Templar, the Crusader Knights. It is based on the Maltese Cross, the cross of the Order of St. John, but the Maltese Cross itself, has a V shape cut into each arm of the cross.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith”. Romans 1 v 16 and 17.
